Cuban Boxers Seek Medals in Russia

HAVANA TIMES — Four members of the Cuban boxing team seek medals on the third day of the Nilolay Pavlyukov Memoral competition for young fighters, taking place in the Russian city of Anapa.

Middleweight Angel Yusel Napoles faces Magomed Gadzhiev of the host country in his debut.  Also seeing action will be Andy Cruz, Andy Ibañez and Yordan Hernández, all guaranteed a medal.

According to JIT online, half of the Cuban boxers have had their first fight in this sixth edition of the event that has 160 boxers from 15 countries participating.
