Havana Book Fair to Present New Anthology by Carilda Oliver

HAVANA TIMES — An anthology of the work by Cuban poet Carilda Oliver, 90, will be one of the highlights at the 22nd International Book Fair, which begins on February 14 in Havana.

Titled ” Una mujer escribe” (A Woman Writes), the volume offers a selection of the work of Oliver, a prominent figure in Latin American literature and the National Literature Prize winner in 1998 for her lifetime accomplishments.

This year the event will recognize the 160th anniversary of the birth of Jose Marti, and is dedicated to writers Pedro Pablo Rodriguez and Daniel Chavarria, while Angola will be the guest country.
