Cuban Parliament Sessions on December 13

HAVANA TIMES — The Cuban parliament will meet in one of its two brief annual sessions starting on December 13th, announced chairman Ricardo Alarcon on Friday.

The 600+ members of parliament are expected to unanimously approve the government’s proposed budget for 2013.

This will be their last session as a new parliament will be seated after general elections in January or February when a new slate of candidates are elected as deputies for a five-year term.

President Raul Castro is expected to address the legislators at the Havana Convention Center.
