Symposium on Latin American Hip Hop to Be Held in Cuba

HAVANA TIMES — The eighth annual Hip Hop Symposium, with participants from several Latin American countries — including Venezuela, Colombia, Brazil and Peru — will be held from August 15 to 19 in the Cuban capital, reported the Prensa Latina news agency.

The event, which is held every summer on the island, will be dedicated to the first decade of the Cuban Rap Agency and will also feature dancers Jeison Touzeau (France) and Laura Codermaz, (Italy).

During the conference, workshops will be held on breakdancing and dance hall music, as well as on photography and screen printing. Several presentations will be made on hip hop and a video will be produced that covers the entire event.

One of the most anticipated moments are the traditional concerts that are held every night of the conference. Groups from the island that have already announced their participation include Anonimo Consejo, Primera Base and Doble Filo.
