Cuban Weather Expert Visits U.S.

HAVANA TIMES, Nov. 24 – Meteorologist José Rubiera, head of the Cuban Institute of Meteorology’s Weather Forecast Center, participated in a conference on cooperation between the island and the United States held in the city of New Orleans, reported IPS.

In his dissertation Rubiera referred to the vital importance of collaboration between both countries in the face of tropical cyclones.

Rubiera is one of the most well known personalities of Cuban TV, informing and accompanying the island’s residents during storm warnings and related emergencies.
