Cuban Cyclist Lisandra Guerra Wins Medals in Germany

HAVANA TIMES — ??Cuban cyclist Lisandra Guerra won silver in the keirin and bronze in the 500 meter time trial during the recently concluded Cottbuser-Sprintercup event, held in the German city of Cottbus, reported Granma newspaper.

Guerra was overcome in the keirin by the host cyclist Kristina Vogel, one of the leaders in this specialty in the world, while in the 500m time trial, her favorite event, she only reached third place.

The Cuban cyclist rider will be competing in the Grand Prix, to be hosted by the same German city, the event will also serve as preparation for the main event of the year, the Central American and Caribbean Games in Veracruz, Mexico, in November.
