Traditional Cuban Farm Homes

HAVANA TIMES, June 18 – In remote rural communities in Cuba wood, a scarcity in the capital, is still a common building material. Traditional roofing is interwoven palm leaves, often substituted today by or combined with sheets of corrugated iron. Photographer Elio Delgado recently visited some of these areas and brings Havana Times readers a look at the housing and surroundings.

To see all these small wooden / canas houses in cuba remind me the houses in the dominican republic during trujillo dictator s times …. a nostalgic feeling i have .. oh how much i wish to visit cuba soon ..its like time did not move in there.
