Pope/Raul Castro Stamp Issued in Cuba

HAVANA TIMES — A postage stamp with the image of Pope Benedict XVI and Raul Castro was presented on Wednesday at the Foreign Ministry office here in the capital, beginning the circulation of the stamp nationally and internationally, reported the Prensa Latina news agency.

The stamp shows a moment during the welcoming ceremony for the Pope in the eastern province of Santiago de Cuba this past March.

Those attending the stamp’s inauguration included Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez, Cardinal Jaime Ortega, the Apostolic Nuncio Bruno Musaro, city historian Eusebio Leal; and Caridad Diego, the head of religious affairs with the Cuban Communist Party.
