HAVANA TIMES — Residents of Havana can make donations to the hurricane victims in eastern Cuba starting Wednesday, according to a statement issued on Wednesday by the Provincial Government of Havana.
The funds will be channeled through the Provincial Administration Council of the capital in coordination with the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution and the Federation of Cuban Women.
Two bank accounts have been opened (in national currency and in CUC hard currency) into which donations can be deposited in cash at any bank branch in Havana.
According to the information from the city government, assistance will focus on the towns of Santiago de Cuba, Holguin and Guantanamo, and may consist of cash in addition to personal and useful household items and toiletries.
