HAVANA TIMES — Dozens arrested on Tuesday during the funeral Mass for the dissident Oswaldo Paya were released by Cuban police by Wednesday.

The citizens were arrested after shouting Freedom, Freedom!, which is taken by the authorities as a counterrevolutionary slogan.

Paya, 60, died in a car accident in the eastern province of Granma.  Another passenger, Harold Cepero Escalante was also killed.
