Cuban Dance Troupe to Perform at London Olympics

Danza Contemporanea
HAVANA TIMES, April 16 — The dance company Danza Contemporanea de Cuba will debut a work by Israeli choreographer Itzik Galili as part of the cultural program organized by the London Olympics, reports the Trabajadores newspaper.
The world premiere of their performance “Sombrisa” will take place in the city of Newcastle, official site of Olympic boxing competitions.
Danza Contemporanea has just completed a tour of cities in Italy, France and Spain, and beginning on May 3 will start a tour of ten cities in Britain before the Olympics which begin on July 27.
