Cuba and World Environment Day

HAVANA TIMES, June 3 — To mark World Environment Day this coming Sunday (June 5), an intense campaign of great importance for humanity will begin in Cuba.

The contribution is our grain of sand for the sake of protecting and preserving nature (a victim of the growing devastation by humankind’s actions in obtaining and exploiting the most dissimilar natural resources) which requires urgent action aimed at guaranteeing our future.

The struggle against climate change and the implementation of an environmental culture for sustainable development, as well as encouraging love and care of our flora and fauna, requires greater effort and the unity of the human species around the conviction that a better world is indeed possible.

Here are some photos from Guantanamo of what needs to be protected.
