HAVANA TIMES, July 24 — The Cuban Men’s Volleyball Team won the first set Saturday in the semifinal match up against Brazil but fell in the next three at the World Volleyball League tournament taking place in Cordoba, Argentina.

The Cubans opened strong winning 25-21 but the favored Brazilians proved too much with 25-19, 25-21, 25-20 scores to win three sets to one.  Fernando Hernandez led Cuba with 11 points and Dante of Brazil topped all scorers with 16 points.

After Cuba plays Serbia in the bronze medal match Sunday, Russia takes on Brazil for the gold.
