HAVANA TIMES, Nov. 26 – Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez made a brief working visit to Cuba this Tuesday, during which he met with his counterpart Raúl Castro and with former President Fidel Castro.

The close allies discussed bilateral collaboration and the next summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Americas (ALBA) to be held in Cuba in December, reported IPS.

Chavez had previously extended an invitation to Fidel Castro to make a reappearance in public at the Summit.

The former Cuban president has not made a public appearance since he gave two lengthy speeches on July 26, 2006.
