Cuban Blogger Backs Lifting Travel Ban

HAVANA TIMES, Nov. 20 (IPS) – Cuban blogger Yoani Sánchez, who has received prizes in Europe and the United States, backed the lifting of the travel to Cuba ban for U.S. citizens, which was debated yesterday in the House of Representatives’ Foreign Affairs Committee. In a message to Democratic legislator Howard Berman, Sánchez affirmed that the end of that restriction “could have better results in the democratization of Cuba than Raúl Castro’s indecisive measures.”
