Tropical Storm Cindy at 6:00 a.m. on Thursday June 22nd.

HAVANA TIMES – The next days in Havana will be hot and partly cloudy from the end of the morning. In the afternoons, some isolated showers associated with daytime heating are likely. The winds will be from the southeast with speeds between 9 and 15 mph, with stronger gusts on the north coast. The maximum temperatures will be between 31 and 32° C (88 and 90 F), while the lows will range between 23 and 24° C (73 and 75 F). The sea surface temperature will be 27° C (81 F).

Meteorological conditions:

During the night, tropical storm Cindy landed on the border area of the states of Texas and Louisiana, in the southern United States; Decreasing the intensity of its maximum sustained winds to 65 kilometers per hour, with higher gusts and a central pressure of 994 hectoPascal, according to the Cuban Forecast Center (INSMET).

At 6:00 a.m. Thursday morning its center was estimated at 30.1 degrees north latitude and 93.6 degrees west longitude, a position that situated about 40 kilometers west of Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Cindy now moves northward, increasing her speed of translation to about 12 miles per hour.
