HAVANA TIMES – It’s a time when the stillness of the darkness and the sad lights of an old city continue to linger. Some people walk through the streets in darkness doing their chores. The glow tints the sky with soft but intense colors. It is a moment when the peaceful dawn still remains before a new difficult day begins.

Note: Here’s an old favorite song of this Havana Times editor. The title First Light by Freddie Hubbard.

Beautiful photos ! Something about first light or last light in the city evokes such nostalgia .
We have spent much time in Havana…from Canada . and that time of day just is so beautiful…covering the scars and blemishes of that old and tired city .
    Thanks .

Used to live in Hawaii and loved getting up at 4:00 a.m. to see the sunset. No one can take that away from us! Great photos.

I pray for a new dawn in Cuba, one where the light will shine on a free people in that beautiful country and where the Communist Party of Cuba and the Castro family regime have faded into history and oblivion. The skies of Cuba can be beautiful, thank you Juan Suarez for the photographs.
