HAVANA TIMES – The days will be sunny in the morning and partly cloudy from midday, with showers in the afternoon due to daytime convection.

Winds will be weak from the southeast to the east, with speeds between 6 and 12 mph, slightly higher on the coasts.

The maximum temperatures will be between 30 and 32° C (86 and 90 F) and the lows between 22 and 23° C (72 and 73 F). The sea surface temperature will be 27° C (81 F).

Meteorological conditions:

A high surface pressure center located in the western Atlantic extends its dorsal to the Gulf of Mexico, affecting much of western Cuba with a moderate trade regime. Meanwhile, to the north-center of the Caribbean Sea is located a trough with wide depth in the vertical, whose axis includes the eastern region of Cuba. This system has been causing numerous rains and thunderstorms in that region during the past 24 hours, and is expected to persist for at least one or two more days, when its axis will begin to shift slightly to the west.
