Hard Currency Store Burns in Havana

HAVANA TIMES – On Thursday afternoon around 4;30 p.m., the small TRD (government owned hard currency stores) located on the Avenida Boyeros between Tulipan and la Rosa in the municipality Plaza de la Revolucion was devoured by a violent fire. So far the causes are unknown.

  • Its four years since Raul Castro Ruz announced that Cuba is going to return to having only one currency. Has the idea like so many of the ‘Socialismo’ promises gone up in smoke?
